News from RUF Belize team

Today was a huge day for us.   Everything out on the construction site is ready for the big "pouring" tomorrow.   Over 40 villagers are coming to help us pour the roof and we had a great time today with the construction workers as we were tying up loose ends on the job site.    Michael and James helped me build pediatric equipment for the two villagers with disabilities.   We sat and watched a dad play with his 9 year old son on one of the pieces of equipment that was made and that is a scene none of us present will ever forget.   The boy was smiling and laughing from ear to ear and we just got to hang out with that family and enjoy them.   Today was the last day of VBS and most students were invited to come and see the kids homes and meet their parents.   We brought 500 pairs of sandals from a man in Tampa (Holy Trinity Pres) who has come before and the kids were very excited about having these shoes and taking us to meet their families.   The students shared many stories tonight at our devotions of the conversations they had about the VBS message and what it was like to be in a Belizian home today.   We are all tired, but happy about what we learned and got to experience today.

Tomorrow is the big event-  be praying for safety as we haul concrete in buckets up a ladder and cover this roof.   We get Sunday off and will attend two different villiage churches and get to do some exploring.   Looking forward to worshipping with our new friends down here.

Thanks for praying for us,
Steve & Jenna Lammers
